Montego Bay Jamaica

After two days at sea, we finally arrive to our first port of call Montego Bay, Jamaica. We were scheduled to be in port from 8 to 5. Normally I don’t book excursions through Carnival but due to us docking in Montego Bay I did for this stop. The main place we wanted to take the boys to visit was to visit Dunn’s River Falls which is in Ocho Rios. The excursion also included taking us to Mystic Mountain where we would take a chairlift up to ride a bobsled a.k.a an alpine coaster and we would also be riding a small rollercoaster.

The ride from the port to Dunn’s River Falls is two hours, which for this reason is why I booked through Carnival. So as soon as we were cleared to debark the ship, we meet our bus and off we went. Since it is a long ride, they do stop halfway at a small store/gift shop. One thing to note if you have never been to Jamaica is the way they drive. We have been several times so are used to it but for a first timer it can make some nervous. They will pass on the left, on the right and the speed limit is subjective.

I do have a full video that I will be posting at some point of the full climb up the falls so stay tuned, but for now we will continue on our journey which is our trip to Mystic Mountain.
