Travel time to Atlanta was estimated to be just a little over 4 hours. So we planned to leave at 7:00am that morning. With a quick gas stop and one rest area stop we managed to make it to the airport by 11:38. However parking is very confusing especially when it’s a Saturday and lots of the areas where full sigh. I meant to prepay and reserve parking beforehand but forgot.
At any rate we finally make it into the airport just after 12 but we have to check our luggage. Lucky for us we are priority on Delta so had a shorter line. But then comes TSA….
So it’s funny but our oldest of 19 has never flown before as he typically does not like to travel. For this reason he out of the bunch doesn’t have TSA precheck. So you know what that means. A very very long line ugh. So after a 30 minute ordeal we make it through TSA down the escalator to the sky train, up the escalator. For those who have been to Atlanta you know what I’m talking about. Lucky for us we were the first terminal. And of course we were the very last to board the plane but we made it.
So a quick up and down 1:15 minute flight we make it to New Orleans. Claim our luggage and out to grab an Uber to our hotel.

So I like going out of New Orleans as I have Diamond Elite status with Caesars so we get comped rooms. Our first thing on the agenda once we checked in was to go have a late lunch. Our go to spot in New Orleans is Mothers. It’s a quick two block walk and your there.

So after eating even though we are all stuffed it’s a must when in New Orleans to get beignets. So off to the Riverwalk to go to Cafe Du Monde.
