So for our recent stop in Cozumel I wanted to do something a little different. Two of the main reasons I decided to try Chankannab Park was one it had a spot for snorkeling and two was to swim with the manatees. We have already swam with dolphins, nurse sharks and played with sea lions so this would check a new encounter off the list. Taxi ride from the port was a quick 10 to 15 min ride and was 4pp so 8 for us and since we purchased the manatee encounter with photo package we got a voucher for transportation back to the ship.
Admission is $24 per person and well worth it. There is an abundance of loungers and shade. You can go through viator and pay $39 per person which includes a buffet lunch and 2 soft drinks or beers. The buffet lunch isn’t that great so for me I prefer to eat a good breakfast and wait till our arrival back to the ship for a late lunch. The park is large with lots of things to do for free or some you pay extra. You can snorkel, visit the tropical gardens, swim in the pool, or watch some of the animal exhibitions all which are free. For the extra things they have scuba diving, snuba, zip lining, a spa area for massages which are super cheap and well worth it, kayaking, and of course you can swim with the dolphins or manatees.
